Thursday, April 9, 2026 is a regular holiday in the Philippines. Declared under Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025 (2026 holidays).
These are the minimum rates under the Labor Code. The examples use ₱100 an hour (₱800 for 8 hours).

If your shift crosses midnight into or out of Araw ng Kagitingan, which hours get the holiday rate depends on your company. Most payrolls pay the whole shift by the date it started. Others split it at midnight. How night shifts into a holiday are paid.
Your client abroad probably works as usual on Apr 9, so many BPO and remote accounts stay open.
Even if your account follows a client's calendar, working a Philippine regular holiday still earns at least 200% under the Labor Code, if you're covered by it. Freelancers and independent contractors are paid by their contract instead.
