If your shift crosses midnight into or out of Rizal Day, which hours get the holiday rate depends on your company. Most payrolls pay the whole shift by the date it started. Others split it at midnight. How night shifts into a holiday are paid.
Your client abroad probably works as usual on Dec 30, so many BPO and remote accounts stay open.
Even if your account follows a client's calendar, working a Philippine regular holiday still earns at least 200% under the Labor Code, if you're covered by it. Freelancers and independent contractors are paid by their contract instead.
